Guest Post by AK Taylor: 29 Days of Fantasy Anthology for Charity

Today we welcome back AK Taylor back to YAPC. Today she will share with us about the 29 Days of Fantasy Anthology in a guest post. This book was put together for charity. If you love fantasy and would like to donate to underprivelged children, please pick up a copy or two!

This past February myself, Jonathan Gould, Lorna Suzuki, and several other Fantasy authors participated in a blogging event hosted by Thomas Knight called the 29 Days of Fantasy. All month long we talked about our genre and the awesomeness about it and whatever else we could think of. This is the first year of this event, and it was lots of fun and super cool. It was also a chance to meet and have fun with authors in my own genre–well–at least the fantasy part of my genre ;) .

Thomas Knight, the host, decided to put the posts into an anthology with the permission of the authors who wanted to do this.  All the proceeds of from this anthology will go to charity for underprivileged children. In addition to all the fantasy fun, it’s now going for a noble cause which–in my opinion–seems to go hand in hand with the fantasy genre.

My post “Native Americans in Fantasy” appears in this anthology which I am honored.

As far as I know, the party isn’t over, and we’ll have another bash in 2013! :D

Here is what Thomas has to say about the anthology:

29 Days of Fantasy Anthology for Charity29 Days of Fantasy, 2012, An Anthology.

What is 29 Days? It’s a celebration of the fantasy genre, and fans have every reason to party! The fantasy genre is bigger and better than ever before, and shows no signs of letting up. This celebration is for the authors, the creators, the artists and producers, publishers and promoters of fantasy, but most importantly, this celebration is for the fans!

Fantasy author Lorna Suzuki writes about incorporating reality into fantasy, author J. Robert King brings is The Heart of Villainy, world renowned author and game developer Jeff Grubb spills the beans in an in-depth interview, and much, much more.

This is a compilation of (almost) all blog posts from the first annual 29 Days of Fantasy celebration on http://thomasaknight.com/29days.php

100% of the proceeds from this book will be donated to Reglue. (http://reglue.org)

You can find the Anthology exclusively on Amazon.com priced at a meager $0.99, which is less than a cup of coffee, and the money goes to a GREAT cause! :)

Like Thomas said, this anthology is exclusive to Amazon. Don’t have a kindle? No problem! All you need is a device and the free app from Amazon to enjoy this anthology.
